Description

The Æneema Ltd is an updated version of the Æneema kite and brings already some of the the tech features that you’ll find in our future designs. You can consider this kite as a facelift of the Æneema. It comes in 2 attractive color designs: #blackisback and #bluetothemoon

It belongs to a new realm of hybridised kite, something that slots in beside the Noise Pro and the Ian Alldredge TDZ as your go-to for a spectrum of conditions.

Our head designer Dano See has created a featherweight kite that is stable, fast turning and suits a ‘sheet-in-and-go’ style of riding. The Æneema’s direct on/off power and forward-flying profile is fast, responsive and delivers smooth power at a moment’s notice. Turn the power off and let the kite drift while you carve up the face or flick it on and cruise through mushy sections. The power is there when you need it and our signature also Drift lets you ride the wave when you want to.

The Æneema’s predictability and simplicity provides riders the total package and that feeling of security whether you’re a beginner or an expert. I guess fast turning, smooth power delivery and unmatched Drift really sums it up!” – Dano See, Head Designer.

“The Æneema is particularly inspired by our Ambassadors. We wanted to create something user-friendly that performs optimally all types of conditions and provides our riders from all around the world with the best product, no matter where they kite.” – Ben Wilson.

Everything we create is designed and built for wave riding. That means the materials are tough, construction is tight and the customer receives a product that lasts. Nothing tests a product like time in the surf, and we can happily say we’ve tested the AEneema in Europe, Australia, Fiji and Mexico with a range of conditions and testers. And the verdict? The AEneema is the ultimate all-rounder. See for yourself.

Æneema, the most comprehensive wave kite to date, offers you with this Ltd edition 2 features to enhance the accuracy in steering when catching the wave, and the kite turns noticeably faster in the bigger sizes enjoying the same amount of stability and signature drift as before.

Below the major features:

Board-Spectrum Performance & Surf-Specific Simplicity

Additional information

Material

Teijin canopy T9600 & DP175 Dacron double rip stop. The strongest and lowest elongation in the industry.

Custom Wingtip Design

All BWS Kites incorporate our ‘Consistent Drive’ technology wingtip design. This allows full flow through all turning and NO stalling or dead spots in any area of the window. The Æneema features a stiffer profile which makes the turning and handling of the kite even better then it was already before.

EPI, Express Point Inflate

Featuring the all new ‘Black Betty’ 2-in-1 inflate/deflate valve. Interlinking hoses connect all struts to the LE for express all-in-one inflation. Extra large screwable output for ultra-fast deflating.

3 Strut Hybrid 'Glyde' Design

The Aeneema Ltd features a super thin profile with reduced diameter LE allowing faster flying and turning with a lightweight canopy frame that will ‘Glyde’ through any lull or low spot in the wind. Medium thickness struts accommodate the rigid frame for a seamlessly clean canopy shape, no flutters or wrinkles that cause drag.

1 Piece Bladder

Less welds = less chance of blowing out a seam.

Bridle

Improved Compact ‘no-wrap’ surf bridle has no pulleys and features a tucked-up and stable 4-point configuration that belongs to a new realm of weight distribution technology. Each string is custom-weighted to each point allowing an even weight distribution when powering the kite on and off. This keeps a truly tight canopy with no distortion. The bridle holds the weight of the kite perfectly when sheeted in, but what happens when you sheet out? Custom point weight distribution allows the kite’s weight to be distributed evenly through all phases of sheeting.

Bridle Line

We use a NEW industry first 2mm 100% Dyneema no-stretch bridle line. All bridles are pre-stretched before assembly and our ‘Tech Lock’ splice measures perfectly, thus eliminating thread and stitching that can break or alter the bridle line lengths.

Bridle Attachment Points

3mm 100% Dynema interlocking bridle hang points are sewn and glued along the LE frame for the strongest surf reinforcement.

Dacron Trailing Edge

Dacron is a thick, tough material used in the LE and struts. Aeneema Ltd features a thin boundary along the trailing edge and around the struts to strengthen the connection between the canopy and the structural frame while also minimising unnecessary weight. It’s also a barrier to stop any canopy tearing that can be accelerated in a heavy wipeout.

Seams

All strut and LE seams are 10mm overlapping and reinforced with a 15mm seam tape. On the canopy we use a glued, flat seam rather than the traditional over-locking seam. The flat seam offers a double layer of cloth at the join that strengthens each thread hole and aligns the panels for the most precise build.

Scuff Guards

The right scuffs in all the right places. Positioned so your kite will withstand being dragged over rough surfaces without compromising its kite’s weight and strength.
